Challenge Festival 2015 Opening Party

This Friday, join over 80 startups from around the world at the Challenge Festival 2015 Opening Party in Crystal City. As a part of the DMV County Fair, the evening will feature food trucks, local DC brews and tastings from Virginia Wineries and a “Startup Lane” to learn about the most trendy new startups in the region.
For entertainment, local bands Human Country Jukebox (with lead singer, Jack Gregori, recently featured on The Voice) and Out of Town Blues Band (of Vegas Lounge fame) will rock the stage.
And if that isn’t enough, there will be an open bar with complimentary beer, wine, and a specialty cocktail.

This Saturday, join Vinolovers for its second annual VinoFest DC — a curated wine and music festival that celebrates memorable wine experiences, flavorful music, passion for food, diverse communities, and charitable giving.
Entertainment highlights include Questlove, Trouble Funk, White Ford Bronco, Alison Carney, Alma Tropicalia, Black Masala and DJ Adrian Loving. Food by Puddin’, Three Little Pigs, Ben’s Next Door, Timber Pizza, MilkCult, Chaia Farm to Taco and more!
Selected wines will offer concert goers a wide ranging experience with fun and interesting varietals. Wines showcased will be from local VA wineries, classic wine regions, South Africa, Italy, France, CA, and some lesser known wine regions such as Brazil, Romania, and Greece. Most of these will be summery wines…high acidity, lighter alcohol, very easy to drink of a beautiful spring day.

DC Craft Beer Festival

The event will feature 150 seasonal summer selections of craft beers, meads, and ciders over 75 local and national breweries, one-on-one consultations with industry experts and Cicerones, interactive and educational seminars exploring the craft beer industry and trends, artisanal food and beer pairings from Mess Hall’s local culinary food entrepreneurs including: Celebrity Chef Jessica Swift, Très Creole Catering, NeatMeat, Sona Creamery, Cajun Meets Asian and Farm to Feast Catering.
The event takes place in two sessions from 1:00pm – 9:30pm at the Washington Convention Center. Tickets are $50. Get more info HERE.
