Bestheda Art Walk & Hyattsville Arts Festival

bethesdaartVenture just outside of the city this weekend for artistic musings at the Bethesda Art Walk and Hyattsville Arts Festival.

Friday, Bethesda galleries showcase artwork created locally, nationally and internationally including painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media. From 6:00pm – 9:00pm guests can peruse through several galleries by walking throughout downtown Bethesda.

Saturday, take a short trek to the Gateway Arts District to get a taste of the annual arts festival in Hyattsville. From 11:00am – 5:00pm , the event will feature over 70 exhibiting and performing artists, live entertainment on 3 stages, local food and drink purveyors more.

Last year’s event capped at 4,000 art-lovers.This year, visitors can explore, new residential spaces, retail shops and emerging restaurants along the corridor. Get more info HERE.

Taste of Georgetown 2014

gtownposterThis Saturday, the annual Taste of Georgetown will celebrate 21 years of creative tastes from more than 35 of the neighborhood’s best restaurants, not to mention an expansive Craft Beer & Wine Pavilion and live entertainment. From Noon-5:00pm, guests can expect more than 70 dishes, family-friendly entertainment including bocce courts by Pinstripes, the return of the Iron Chef-style challenge, a Giant Cupcake Eating Competition, a bluegrass and country music stage, the first-ever Taste Marketplace featuring Georgetown retailers and more!

For the first time in the event’s history, the Taste will move from Wisconsin Ave to K Street, along the scenic Georgetown Waterfront. Get more info HERE.

Adams Morgan Day Festival

Sunday, September 14, 2014  

adamsmorganThis Sunday, celebrate one of DC’s famed neighborhoods, Adams Morgan, with over 35,000 people from the metro area.

From 11:00am – 7:00pm, the event will feature large music stages, a  popular mix of diverse retailers, food and craft vendors, nonprofits, artists and more!
